Privacy policy
Selected answers only.
Last updated July 30, 2026
The short version
Nauta processes only the assistant answer you explicitly select. It does not read, persist, or transmit complete chat histories. The product organizes the trip and saves it in your browser.
What Nauta processes
On supported AI sites, the extension looks for completed travel plans so it can place a Turn into a trip button beside them. It does not save answer text while doing this.
After you click Turn into a trip, Nauta:
- reads the answer you selected;
- finds its days and places inside the extension;
- creates an editable trip; and
- saves that trip in your browser.
What Nauta does not collect
- complete chat history;
- prompts or unrelated assistant answers;
- place names, trip titles, or notes for activity tracking;
- calendar content;
- conversation URLs containing private identifiers; or
- payment-card information.
Nauta does not sell personal data and does not use selected itinerary content to train an AI model.
Maps and calendar
Maps routes and calendar files are created only from plans you have had an opportunity to check. Google Maps opens or a calendar file downloads only after you press the corresponding button. Nauta does not book travel or write directly to your calendar.
Nauta Free can open readable Google Maps links without sending your plan to Nauta. If a Pro user chooses Find the exact place, Nauta sends only the edited place name, optional destination, interface language, and extension version to its bounded Cloudflare service. That service asks Google Places for at most three candidates. It does not receive the AI answer, notes, dates, or chat address. Candidate details are temporary; only the Place ID you choose is saved in your browser.
Google supplies place candidates under the Google Privacy Policy and Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms.
Website data
This website offers optional, consent-based Google Analytics measurement for page visits and three product events: store clicks, pricing views, and Pro checkout clicks. Analytics is off until you choose Allow analytics, remains off when Do Not Track is enabled, and can be declined without losing any site or extension feature. Advertising signals, Google signals, and ad storage are disabled. Nauta never sends email addresses, itinerary text, trip titles, place names, prompts, or chat addresses as analytics events. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from Analytics choices in the site footer.
If enabled, Google may process ordinary request and device data under its privacy policy. Cloudflare may process IP address, browser type, requested path, and security logs to deliver and protect the site even when analytics is declined.
If you previously joined the launch list, Nauta collected the email address you submitted, optional trip-planning frequency, signup location on this site, and time of consent. That information is used only for Nauta product updates. It is not combined with itinerary content or sold.
Launch-list forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated submissions. Waitlist records are stored in a dedicated Cloudflare D1 database and are not forwarded to a separate customer-list provider. Cloudflare processes the form request and security challenge as described in its privacy policy.
Payments and Polar
Nauta Pro is sold through Polar, our merchant of record. Polar processes payment, tax, receipt, renewal, cancellation, and refund information under its own privacy terms. Payment-card data is never stored by Nauta or the extension.
When you activate Pro, the extension sends the license key you enter, Nauta's public organization identifier, and a random browser activation identifier to Polar. The same license and activation are checked by Nauta's place service before a Pro place lookup. These checks do not include your trip, chat, notes, or dates.
Your controls
You can edit and delete trips or download a backup inside the extension. Removing the extension also removes its access to supported AI pages. Browser or device backups may retain data according to your browser vendor’s policies.
Product emails will include an unsubscribe option. You can also request access to or deletion of your waitlist information by contacting support@nauta.travel.
Children and sensitive travel
Nauta is not directed to children. Travel plans can reveal sensitive future locations and dates, so avoid using shared browser profiles for itineraries you consider private.
Changes and contact
This policy will be updated before Nauta adds remote trip parsing, identity, sync, direct calendar access, or content analytics. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
